Hospital « Thread Started on Nov 13, 2007, 1:09am »
The hospital crowd was slowly fading. The sun was setting. The lights were dim. The only two figures in the room were seen by a single wand lit.
Drake said, "Squirt, I told you not to do that."
Kisha said, "Yeah, I know. I really should quit goin to those wolf meetings. I just can't seem to resist. It's like I have no choice in the matter."
Drake said, "Yes, I know." He sighed deeply shook his hair and grinned. "So reckon what dad would have said?"
Kisha said, "I dunno. Probably that we are just like him. Stuborn."
They both laughed.
Drake said, "Yeah, you know I miss my old man bad. I mean my real dad."
It had never occured to Kisha that he probably felt hurt about his biological dad.
Kisha said, "Drake, did your dad die before our parents got together?"
Drake said, "Yeah, he died in the war before. He was brilliant wizard, but just fought when he shouldn't have. He was hurt and he should have asked for help." He looked as if he was about to cry.
Kisha said, "Drake, I am sorry."
Drake said, "No offense, but I swore from that day on I would never trust a Black and would kill them all. I felt betrayed when our parents started dating."
Kisha said, "Do you trust my dad now?"
Drake said, "Yeah, I regret what I had swore from that point on."
Kisha said, "Mum, wasn't great. My parents split. I lived with my dad with Jake. My mum re-married to a bad guy. He beat my step-sister till she died."
Drake said, "Kisha, why didn't you tell me?"
Kisha shrugged and said, "I never told anyone cause I felt that it was my fault she died. Even if I didn't know magic at the time I should have did something."
Drake put an arm around her and said, "You are not the one to blame." He paused and said, "Is your mom still alive? I know my mom passed away cause of Jake, but did yours?"
Kisha shrugged, "No, Jake killed her first. He raged about something."
Drake said, "What if she wasn't you or Jake's mom?"
Kisha said, "Drake, that'd be impossible."
Drake said, "No it wouldn't. You have your blood right there. Get the nurse to test it. You might not be kin to her."
Kisha said, "Fine." Her leg was bandaged.
Drake called for the nurse and asked if she would. She agreed with free of charge because she seemed to favor Drake and Kisha more than most. The next day began...
Kisha woke up and saw the nurse smiling down at her. "Is there something you-"
The nurse blurted out, "You are not that woman's child. You are your father's child, but not that woman's!"
Kisha shot up and said, "What!"
The nurse said, "I am so happy for you, dear."
Kisha said, "Who is my mother?"
The nurse said, "Er, that is something I cannot answer. My best bet is going back to your Father's home or your grandparents home."

Nyx had wondered where Kisha was, ever since the start of term. She hadn't even had the chance to talk to Drake, her boyfriend, ever since he returned from Peru with Kisha, either. Nyx was currently walking somewhere, not remotely caring where her feet were leading to. The corridors were dark and eeriely silent, but she didn't care; her wand lit the path ahead, and she was too inmersed in her own thoughts to care for the silence.
I could do with a Cheering Charm, she thought to herself, amused at how depressing she was being at the moment. The Black siblings' absence had taken a its toll upon her mood.
The nurse said, "Er, that is something I cannot answer. My best bet is going back to your Father's home or your grandparents home."
Kisha felt shocked and sick. She puke. "I-"
Drake said, "Kisha, that's brilliant."
Nyx walked closer towards the source of voices and found herself close to the hospital wing. Why's Kish here? A wave of panic surged through her body at the thought that something might be wrong with her sister.
She entered the room hurridly and stopped, staring at Drake, and at Kisha, who was lying on a bed. "Drake--Kish--what's wrong?" She asked, relieved that Kisha was at least conscious. However, Kisha looked remotely sick and pale, and Nyx had a feeling something was going on.

Drake said, "Kisha got in a little mishalf, but it's all taken care of."
Kisha said, "I.. You have to be wrong.."
The nurse said, "Dear, you cannot tell me you possibly loved that woman. Well I actually have a good guess of who it is, but I am not absolutely certain."
Kisha said, "It was you."
The nurse said, "I will test my blood if you would like?"
Kisha eagerly nodded and ran her fingers through her hair. She grinned, "I have a mother who cares.. I can't believe this."
Drake was grinning like never before, "Kish, that's brilliant!" His British accent seemed to have gotten stronger for some odd reason. He looked at his girlfriend and said, "Come in the celebration. Kisha is possibly the nurses daughter!" He shouted with joy.
The nurse came in and smiled. She nodded slowly.
Drake patted Kisha on the back hard.
Kisha smiled and wispered, "Brilliant!" She said, "I can't believe this. I finally met my real mum!"
Drake put an arm around Nyx and wispered, "Never seen her so happy. I think once did I ever see her this happy the night she packed from the Black home to move with you and Beck."

"Wait--uh--what??" Nyx sputtered. Though happy to be back under Drake's arm, she wasn't wuite getting the situation. "Then...uh...mum?" She said slowly, looking at the nurse. Or rather, Kisha's mum.
Bewildered isn't the correct word to describe Nyx's facial expression, but it's as close a word can get.
Drake couldn't help, but chuckle. "I figured it out the other day. Why would Jake's only vigence be against his father for not following the death eaters? Why would he kill her mom for marrying a death eater. It all made sense."
The nurse said, "Yes, I had a daughter with your father, but I never knew who it was. He took you away before you where even a few weeks old. When I tried to retrieve you, you're step-mother mocked me saying you where her daughter." She aimed much of her talk towards Kisha. "I just wasn't quit sure if you where my child because she had three girls occupying her home. I felt some difference between you and the other two. I knew today it must be you. Jake is my son and knew so. That is why he killed that other woman. Yet Caitlin is mearly your step sister while nikki was your half sister."
Kisha felt pale not knowing this. She accepted it and was thrilled all the same.
Drake said, "So what all happened while i was gone?"
The nurse began to catch Kisha up on her life story while Drake and Nyx caught up.

"I, uh..." Nyx's voice trailed away, half in amazement and half in disbelief. She blinked and focused her attention to Drake. "It's...amazing, really. I always thought the nurse reminded me vaguely of Kisha, but since she was always so nice, I didn't dare relate her to the Blacks," she said. Shaking her head with a smile, she looked up at Drake. "Well, nothing much has happened here, other than the fact that Beck got a job as Quidditch Advisor," she grinned, "he's really pleased--though I doubt he knows what a Quidditch Advisor has to do. I expect you to help him though, oh mighty Quidditch Captain of the House Team," she finished, saying that last sentence with mock admiration.
She had mixed feelings at the moment, but not the bad kind. It was joy at seeing Kisha again, the overwhelming sensation of falling in love all over again with Drake, and excitement and anticipation at Kisha's discovery of her biological mother. One could say, Nyx's previous dreadful thoughts had long since been executed from her mind at the sight of the Black siblings.
"Uh...wait," Nyx said suddenly, as if the thought had just ran through her head. Turning to the nurse, she cocked her head sideways, "What should I call you? Mum--since Kisha's my sister obviously--or by name?"
The nurse said, "Ah, I would never forget about you, Nyx. You may call me as you choose. I would not mind in the least you calling me, mum or calling me Emma."
Drake said, "Brilliant and thank you for the title." He smiled kissed her forehead. He felt the passion for his love, Nyx.
Kisha said, "Yes, Blacks got quite a name for themselves, eh?" Kisha was still pale at the thought. She cared for Jake secretly. She missed him around all the time like when they were little.
Emma said, "Kisha, are you alright?"
Something hit Kisha and she said, "You named me Jacey?"
Emma nodded and said, "I loved the name. I named your brother also. You may continue by going by Kisha by all means. I love that name even better especially knowing that Sirious gave you that name." Emma said.
Kisha said, "Jake, knew all this time and never said anything..." She drifted off in thought. She pushed the covers back revealing her bandaged legs. She leaned against a crutch as she stood.
Emma said, "Kisha, where are you going?"
"I must find Jake. I have no choice, but to go to the wolves."
Drake said, "Kish, no, you just got out hurt. You offended them."
Kisha said, "Cause I was late! I have to go talk to Fang in person!"
Drake said, "What! You are going nuts!"
Emma said, "Kisha! No! Don't! I just reuinited with you I don't want my little girl gone!" She had tears streaming.
Kisha notice the resemblance immediately. Kisha said, "Yes, mum."
Drake said, "What's with you Kisha!" Furious now. "You keep risking your kneck. We can only be around so long! You are going to get yourself killed! After what Dean did! After Beck and Nyx sacrafices!" He was on the verge of tears and said, "I lost my father to death eaters, I lost Sirious to my step-brother who was a death eater, and I don't wanna lose you too."

Nyx smiled, and nodded, closing her eyes happily enjoying the moment as Drake kissed her forehead. She remained cuddled close to Drake, listening in on the conversation rather than joining in it.
However, as the conversation progressed, she felt that it wasn't in her position to talk, let alone be there. But remembering that Kisha was as much as her sister as well as Drake's, she begun, "Sorry Kish, but Drake's right," she spoke softly, "But...If you really want to go, go after you're healed, and after Beck's agreed to escort you in his Animagus form, to ensure your safety," she said.

Drake nodded agreeing with Nyx.
Kisha nodded and said, "I can't control myself any more. Ever since-" She stopped, thinking no one cared. It had been a long time since she could control herself. The spell stopped the control. She didn't want them worried.
